The makeup effects are realistic and gory
Its predecessor “Smile” is an overrated film, but this sequel improves on many aspects of the storyline. The cinematography is good, especially in those atmospheric pop scenes.
The performances are good, highlighting Naomi Scott and Kyle Gallner
Director Parker Finn shows maturity in his cinematic style, obviously outdoing himself. The soundtrack is dark and heightens the suspense in several scenes.
“Smile 2” is one of those sequels that surpasses the first film
It is worth mentioning that the scene of Sky’s apartment invaded by characters with evil smiles will become an iconic scene in horror films.
