This is a stripped down Windows 10 operating system based on build 1511 – 10586 (also known as the November Update or TH2). The minimum system requirements remain the same as expected, although this customized version of Windows should run faster than the original due to the number of changes made, listed below. This is the second build, the version to support 32-bit CPUs. There is also the first build which is 64-bit in my profile. ***IMPORTANT NOTE: WHEN YOU GET TO THE QUICK START SCREEN, SELECT CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS AND THEN DISABLE EVERYTHING TO RUN WINDOWS*** System Requirements •Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor with NX /PAE SSE2 (if Windows 8 worked, this will work too) •RAM: 1 GB for 64-bit (technically you only need 512 MB) •Hard Drive Space: 20 GB •Graphics Card: DirectX 9 or higher Changes and Information (the most important ones, anyway): – Most Metro apps, except Edge, Store, and Calculator, have been removed. – Most non-essential drivers (like graphics, printer, network) have been removed. These will need to be downloaded and installed manually depending on your computer’s specifications – Some accessibility stuff has been removed – Language and Cortana support has been removed – Search has been removed (the search bar in Explorer still works) – Windows Media Player has been removed – Windows Photo Viewer is enabled to use this instead of the Metro Photos app, although pictures will initially open in Paint until the user changes the default app to Windows Photo Viewer. – Hibernation disabled – Paging file disabled – Firewall removed (although in some cases it may appear when using a program and the service has not been removed because it is important) – Windows Update has not been removed yet, no guarantee it will work as I always disable it via services.msc (you still need to enable it to install apps from the Store) – Store apps should work in the correct order though… – Store games have stopped working (I may not understand why). Non-UWP games (e.g. CS:GO) should still work as long as you have updated your drivers
